Drive Out for Round Top/Warrenton Antique Weekend

If you’re itching for a road trip and love shopping for antiques, farmhouse-inspired finds or shabby chic home goods, we have the spot for you. From vintage collectibles, jewelry, apparel, home decor, furniture, architectural and industrial salvaged items, guns, antiques and so much more, the Round Top and Warrenton Texas Antique Shows are the place to be next week.

Round Top is recognized as one of the best antique shows in the nation, and shoppers flock to the area for genuine antique and vintage pieces. Twice a year, more than 100,000 people set out for these rural Texas communities near the midpoint between Houston and Austin to shop more than 60 antique, collector, decor and fashion shows that take place in barns, dance halls, under tents and in fields. More than 2,000 local entrepreneurs and individual sellers from all over the country features a broad collection of antique, collectible and crafts.

The Fall Antique Weekend takes place from Monday, Oct. 1, through Sunday, Oct. 7, although some tents and shows won’t be open on Monday or Sunday (so check individual location calendars to be sure). Here are some of the most popular spots for shopping.

The Original Round Top Antiques Fair

Celebrating their 50th year in Round Top, the 30,000 square foot Big Red Barn and the Continental Tent are two great venues to find unsurpassed quality products and unusual, one-of-a-kind antiques. Home items and furniture come from England, France, Italy, Spain, and other European countries, and the styles range from country to formal in all sizes, small to large. Enjoy air-conditioned buildings and free parking while creating a memorable shopping searching for the right treasures to enhance your homes for years to come.

This spot in Round Top has been a favorite source for antiques for 20 years. The show features more than 350 dealers selling an extraordinary array of antiques from across the world. Marburger Farm caters to interior designers, collectors, treasure hunters and shoppers alike. Whether you shop the show to check off a bucket list item, or come every year as a tradition, its an experience that cannot be matched.

The Junk Gypsies

The world headquarters, or “temple of junk,” for HGTV star sisters Amie and Jolie Sikes is located in Round Top. Their kid-friendly, country-music filled store welcomes shoppers to a cornucopia collectibles, plus vintage and new clothing in a style deemed hippie-meets-rocker-chic.

Warrenton

There are more than a dozen individual shows side-by-side offering free admission and on-site parking. Stop into the Campbell Building for fine estate jewelry, Bakelite, garden furniture and shabby chic decorator items. Dillard’s Field has more than 60 dealers, and Robinson’s Field as a variety of food vendors.
